TRUMP’S NEOCON CONVERSION WAS PREDICTABLE

SOURCE:  KURT NIMMO   During the election, I wrote a little ebook titled “Donald Trump’s War on Islam.” In addition to pointing out Trump’s pandering to Islamophobia, I wrote about his association with a number of neocons, including Frank Gaffney and John Bolton, who is now his national security adviser. “I think John Bolton’s a good man,” Trump told the Hugh Hewitt Show. “I watched him yesterday, actually, and he was very good in defending me in some of my views, and very, very strong. And I’ve always liked John Bolton. Well, we are thinking about it, Hugh [nominating Bolton as secretary of state]. I will say that. We are thinking about it. I mean, the negative is what I told you. But we are seriously thinking about it.” That didn’t fly because Congress would never vote to approve Bolton, same as they wouldn’t approve his nomination as ambassador to the United Nations during the reign of Bush. Instead, he assumed the role of national security adviser, a positio...

Iraq Gears Up for First Ever Election after ISIS War Ended

Iraq is now preparing for the country’s key parliamentary elections scheduled on May 12, Saturday, about 5 months following the declaration of their victory over IS or Islamic State group, originally known as the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq or ISIS. This triumph is the result of the disarrayed Kurds, sidelined Sunnis, and dominant split of the Shiites. Iraqis see a ray of hope with this upcoming 4 th nationwide vote after Saddam Hussein’s rule ended back in 2003. However, the country might still experience the effects of the surging tensions between the United States and Iran. After balancing off Tehran and Washington, Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi aims to snatch a new term after being credited for the vicious fight against jihadists and warding off the Kurdish attempt for independence. However, the stiff competition sizzling up within the prime minister’s Shiite community, which makes up a big chunk of Iraqi politics, might end up splitting the vote and result to a long-te...

Geophysicists Say North Korean Nuclear Test Moved a Mountain with Energy of Ten Nagasaki Bombs

In September 2017, there is an underground North Korean nuclear test that exploded with ten times the energy of Nagasaki bombs. Also, it caused parts of the mountain peak sink by ½ meter and shift about 3.5m south. Such are conclusions drawn by the geophysicists who utilized instruments and satellite radar, which pick up waves that travel through the earth for the calculation of the strength and depth of explosion. They also reported some signs that a subterranean tunnel system at a test site collapsed 8.5 minutes after a bomb detonated. Previously, a synthetic radar aperture imagery, which is a satellite technology mapped how the ground warps and stretches after the earthquakes. However, it’s the first time it was used for examining nuclear bomb test site. This is according to the geophysicist and study co-author, Teng Wang, of Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He also said that they have never seen a huge displacement caused human activities from the synthetic radar...

The president of ‘America First’ leaves Europe behind

President Donald Trump has not broken with Europe, he has broken with history.  Never since the Second World War has the gap between the United States and its European allies been greater. The alliance that served to successfully confront the USSR and its subsequent disintegration has entered into a barrage with Trump. Relying on his instincts and desperately seeking to dampen internal scandals, the Republican billionaire is building what he promised in the campaign: a new order in which his country prevails over any other interest. “The time we could trust in the US ended.” Angela Merkel said it last Thursday in Aachen (Germany) and opinion did nothing more than certify what is commonplace in Washington. For months the White House is considered to have dissolved the good relationship that Barack Obama had with his transatlantic allies. Already in the campaign, the republican billionaire fired on the European fortress, attacked the German trade surpl...
