What’s Happening With Pope Francis: As of February 27, 2025, Pope Francis, aged 88, is recovering from double pneumonia at Rome's Gemelli Hospital. He was admitted on February 14 and has shown slight improvements, including better kidney function and reduced lung inflammation. Despite his hospitalization, he continues to perform some papal duties from his hospital room.
