Trump Blasts NYT Over ‘Absurd’ Musk ‘Fake News’: Former US President Donald Trump has slammed The New York Times (NYT) for what he calls a “completely untrue” report alleging that billionaire Elon Musk would be briefed on classified Pentagon war plans regarding China. The NYT claimed that Musk, head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and owner of Tesla and X, was set to attend a top-secret briefing on how the US would respond to a potential conflict with Beijing. Citing unnamed officials, the report suggested he would gain access to sensitive materials, including a detailed strategy presentation.
