Meta Launches California Super PAC to Support Pro-AI Candidates Ahead of 2026 Elections: Meta Platforms Inc. has announced the formation of a new political action committee (PAC) in California, named “Mobilizing Economic Transformation Across (Meta) California.” This initiative aims to support state-level candidates who advocate for lighter regulation of artificial intelligence (AI) and technology. The PAC plans to invest tens of millions of dollars, positioning Meta as a significant political influencer in the state ahead of the 2026 gubernatorial election.
