I am not going to lie, I believe that a dogs is part of the family and as such should live at home together with man.
But it is also easy to understand the position of some families, especially those who have numerous animals and who feel that having all of them at home makes life very difficult.
There are also dog breeds very restless by nature that in a farm can run freely outside and that they get used to living outside without problems. But remember, if you want your dog to live outside, you must do it with all the security and maximum comforts.
In many kennels we see canines that are real disasters . A small roof supported by two poles and without any type of side walls. If it rains or if it is cold the dog is totally exposed to the elements.
It is not true that the dog is not cold and that his hair protects everything. It is true that if you have no other choice, but do you think that they can not suffer from colds or even more serious illnesses due to this? Of course it can and would be totally your responsibility.
As responsible owner, make sure your dog has a booth in good condition, comfortable, suitable for the dog’s measurements and that it is warm and cozy enough. Do not forget that the booth must be clean and disinfected to prevent fleas or ticks from nesting.
If from time to time you have to in-close your dog, make sure that the dog has enough space for the animal to move freely and not be limited. It is especially important that they have a clean place to eat and that food is well protected from rodents or birds.
If your dog is outdoors do not put a chain o them . This is real torture for them, and in many places it is even a crime of animal abuse. Opt for a closed and protected area inside which the animal has its shed and its food and a space to move.
Of course, even if the dog is on a farm and exercises every day, you can go out with him from time to time to socialize with other animals in places indicated for it.
