North Korea Tries To Launch Ballistic Missile

North Korea launched a new ballistic missile on Friday that apparently exploded within a few seconds of launch, South Korean military sources said.

“North Korea fired an unidentified missile from a location in Bukchang, South Pyeongan province, heading northeast at 5:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m.),” the State reported. (JCS) of South Korea in a statement picked up by Yonhap agency.

Seoul authorities, who are currently analyzing the type of rocket, they said in the same statement that “the launch had failed”.

The new missile test comes at a time of high tension between the Kim Jong-un regime and the United States, yet, Pyongyang’s continuous missile launches, so the United States  responded with the mobilization of a nuclear aircraft carrier to the region ordered by Washington.

On April 16, North Korea conducted another failed missile test coinciding with the celebrations of the 105th anniversary of the birth of the country’s founder Kim Jong-un and the visit to Seoul of Vice-President Mike Pence.

The new missile test comes at a time of high tension between the Kim Jong-un regime and the United States.

The Pyongyang regime did not report negative results on the time of the launch, as is customary when the trials are not a success.

On the occasion of the festivities to celebrate the birth of the “eternal president,” North Korea held a military parade April 15 in which it displayed its arsenal of missiles and what appeared to be a new intercontinental ballistic missile.

Following a failed missile launch on April 5, Washington – which has hinted in recent weeks that it has studied a hypothetical pre-emptive strike against Pyongyang – responded by sending a nuclear aircraft carrier to the Korean peninsula, which has shot up Maximum levels of tension in the area.

In his first visit to the UN headquarters, Tillerson insisted that North Korea represents “the most pressing security issue in the world” and argued that the international community needs to act urgently and more forcefully than ever before.

“For the past 20 years, well-meaning efforts … have failed,” Tillerson said, noting that the time for “strategic patience is over.”
