Wikipedia Founder Aims to ‘fix fake news’ using Collaborative Web Site

Jimmy Wales, the founding father of online encyclopedia Wikipedia, has released an internet site aimed at countering multiplication of fake news through bringing together professional journalists along with a community of volunteers and also supporters to create news articles.

The new program, known as Wikitribune, is going to be free to access and carry no advertising and marketing, instead relying on its viewers to fund this, while the accuracy of news reports will be easily verifiable as being source material will be published, Wales stated.

“The news is broken, but we’ve worked out the way to repair it,” he explained in a promotional video clip published on the website’s home page. Full Story Here.
