The controversy with beaches for dogs returns

With the arrival of summer the controversy over the use of beaches for dogs begins again . 

In Spain, the beaches are public and it is not possible to privatize their use, as happens in other countries. 

Therefore, there are no exclusive beaches for one type of user or restricted entry.

We will leave aside other controversies such as nude beaches or textiles and we will focus here on the subject of pets and the so-called beaches for dogs . The first error is already this, the name that is used for them. It is not about beaches for dogs, a name that seems to refer to a beach full of dogs where people do not have room, but beaches where furry ones can be well received.

Many people reject this type of beach because they think it can be dirty and even dangerous , but they do not know that most of these beaches have very clear rules, in fact practically the same as there are in any street: dogs of certain races have to go with a muzzle and the rest of the dogs will be conveniently tied with the leash.

In the event that an animal makes its needs in the sand, the owner must pick it up and leave everything as clean as when it was found. 

What are some owners that do not respect these rules? 

The solution goes through awareness and even fines. 

Fines that should also apply to parents who allow their young children to relieve their needs and bury them, or to smokers who sow the sand with cigarette butts. 

In short, to all those who do not respect a common place.

The dogs should not go to the beaches at rush hour and not because disturb people, but rather because excessive heat is harmful to them. 

Even the pads of the legs could be burned with sand, something that some owners do not seem to take into account. 

For this reason, on some beaches animals are allowed to come in the early morning and in the afternoon at sunset. 

In this way they will enjoy a refreshing walk with their owners and a good conviviality is allowed.

It is, as in most cases, a problem of education and also to know how to coexist with each other. 

Neither the intolerance of those who believe that pets should never be on the beach, nor the bad manners of their dogs and allows them to run around among people who might not be comfortable with their company.
