71-year-old woman Victim of carjacking

An assault by carjacking affected a 71-year-old woman who, at around 9:00 last night, was refuelling at a gas station located on the PR-2 road in the neighbourhood of Manatí.

According to the report of the agent Angel Armaíz Rodriguez, the injured party -identified as Angeles Roman Martinez- was surprised by an armed individual who threatened and intimidated her of a 2003 Ford Explorer, with plate number 858-502, and left without cause any bodily harm.

The septuagenarian reported that her wallet contained personal documents and $ 50 in cash.

Agents from the robbery division of the Arecibo Criminal Investigations took over the case.
