Golden State Warriors Marching To Victory

NBA – Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets marked today’s meeting in the final of the Western Conference in the American Basketball League (NBA), by Beating-up the New Orleans Pelicans and Utah Jazz (4- 1) respectively.

Oakland’s team prevailed against New Orleans by 113-104 in the fifth of seven possible games in the conference’s semi-finals, while the Rockets beat the Jazz 112-102.

The NBA champions and Houston, will decide the West winner, and the finalist of the world’s premier basketball championship ahead of the Eastern Conference champion, who has only one known finalist, the Cleveland Cavaliers, runners-up in 2017.

Stephen Curry, was one of the main contenders for the Warriors’ triumph with 28 points, well supported by Kevin Durant (24), Klay Thompson (23) and Draymond Green (19), who topped the day with a partial 36-19 in the third period.

The Pelicans had missed by only three points (59-56), but collapsed, despite Anthony Davis’ best scorer at 34 and Jrue Holiday’s 27th.

The Rockets, who are set to start their Western Conference finals in the regular round, began over the Jazz in the first half with a 54-46 win.

The visitors balanced their attack in the third quarter, who won by 32-21, but the Houston team retained control in the final quarter, beating 37-24, due to the effectiveness of Chris Paul, author of 20 points in this phase of the game, out of a total of 41.

In the Eastern Conference, the Cavaliers, who ‘humiliated’ the Toronto Raptors 4-0, await the winner of the Boston Celtics’ clash with the Philadelphia 76ers (3-1 at this point, in favour of the Celtics) to meet their next rivals.
