Couple of federal government political leaders, also including Green Party Leader Elizabeth May, been apprehended at a demonstration in opposition to Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline development inside Burnaby, B.C.
May as well as NDP Kennedy Stewart, participated in protests Friday, opposing building and construction for the government authorized Trans Mountain Pipeline extension.
May, the MP for Saanich – Gulf Islands, stood up together with protesters by the entrance of a Kinder Morgan work site. She was actually arrested about midday but quickly discharged within a 1/2 hour.
She stated, she’s has been arrested for civil contempt regarding, obstructing the roadway.
