Porn actress sued Donald Trump over confidentiality agreement

Los Angeles – A porn actress who claims to have had sex with Donald Trump filed a lawsuit Tuesday to override a confidentiality agreement she signed days before the 2016 presidential election and which prevents her from making statements about those alleged intimate encounters.

In the lawsuit, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, it is stated that the agreement “is null and void and irrelevant” because Trump did not sign it personally.

Actress Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said she wants to make public the details of her alleged sexual relationship with Trump in the weeks leading up to the election, according to the lawsuit. Clifford and Michael Cohen, Trump’s attorney, signed the confidentiality agreement on October 28th, 2016.

Clifford claims that she started an “intimate relationship” with Trump in 2006 and continued “until well into 2007,” according to the lawsuit. The relationship included meetings in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, and Beverly Hills, California, he said.

Trump married in 2005 with his current wife, Melania Trump.

Clifford has claimed that she had sex with Trump and later held a platonic relationship for several years.

Cohen says he paid $130,000 out of his pocket to the porn actress as part of the deal. Trumps lawyer also said that “neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign team was part of the transaction with Miss Clifford, nor was the payment reimbursed directly or indirectly.”

NBC News first reported the existence of the lawsuit.
