These protesters carried signs which said “Justice for Sam Dubose” Wed evening close to the university’s Nippert Stadium, where fans have been showing up for a soccer match up. The actual demonstrators in addition were distributing petitions seeking the retrial of Ray Tensing, AP documented.

A mistrial was declared two times in the murder as well as voluntary manslaughter case of Tensing.

He was a University of Cincinnati police officer when he shot DuBose during a 2015 traffic stop. Tensing says he fired in self-defense because he had been dragged by DuBose’s car.

Hamilton County’s district attorney says he’s going to broadcast whether to retry the case the week of July Ten.
