The European Union, Princess of Asturias Award of Concordia 2017

The EU, the project of economic and political incorporation that surfaced following the Second World War and which include twenty-eight countries, had been now awarded a Princess of Asturias Award of Concordia 2017.

The award, which was selected by twenty-eight prospects from sixteen nations around the world, is the last one in the XXVII edition of the Princesa de Asturias Awards, which will be presented next October in the Campoamor Theater in Oviedo at a ceremony presided over with the Kings of Spain.

In previous editions the winning prize with the Concordia fell, among others, within the heroes associated with Fukushima, Manos Unidas, Unicef, Aldeas Infantiles, the city of Berlin, UNICEF, Hussein of Jordan or Stephen Hawking
