Trump urged to act against Russia after Mueller’s indictments

WASHINGTON – Donald Trump faced mounting calls on Sunday to react against Russia, after special counsel Robert Mueller revealed indictments on Friday implicating 13 Russians and three business of meddling in the 2016 presidential political election to help Republicans.

Trump has tried to spin the indictments as a private victory, falsely claiming that these people prove his ad campaign did not collude with the international power during the course of the election, and also Russian meddling had absolutely no impact on the outcome.

But the US President has voiced zero interest in the in-depth evidence contained within the indictments, suggesting that all those charged had indeed focused on US democracy via online obstruction from as far back as 2014.

President Trump took to Twitter on Sunday early morning to again slam the ongoing inquiries in-to Russian intervention. “They are laughing their asses off in Moscow,” he wrote. “Get smart America!”.

But the president faced an expanding chorus of alarm coming from Democrats and former intelligence officials who argued President Trump had done nothing to safeguard foreseeable future elections from Russian interference and also sought to take his own political capital from the special counsel’s charges.
