Trump Links increased Crime in Britain to ‘radical Islamism’

President Donald Trump linked the rise in crime within the UK with “widespread of terrorism coming from radical Islamism” on his Twitter account.

He referred to a report released Thursday by the United Kingdom’s National Bureau of Statistics (ONS), which states that “between June 2016 and June 2017, the Police recorded 5.2 million crimes in England and Wales, which is 13% more than in the previous 12 months”.

Here is that report

“A report has just emerged: ‘The crime in the United Kingdom grows 13% annually because of the widespread of terrorism by radical Islam.’ Not good, we must keep the United States safe! “Trump said in his Twitter account.

The ONS report refers to the terrorist attacks in London and Machester when talking about the number of homicides, which was 664 between June 2016 and June 2017.

Specifically, the report states that “recent trends in homicide have been affected by the recording of multiple casualties” such as the March attack on the Westminster Bridge (London) and the May explosion in Manchester (England).

Thus, according to the report, of the 664 homicides recorded, 35 were linked to the London and Manchester attacks, and NOTHING about Islamic Terrorists.

Trump’s Twitter message stressing the need to “keep the United States safe” comes after a Hawaii judge partially blocked his new immigration veto, due to enter into force on October 18.

The Hawaiian magistrate or Judge, and later another Maryland judge, agreed that the veto should be suspended to study in depth if Trump seeks to create a “Muslim veto” to bar members of that religion from entering the United States, something that would violate the right to religious freedom enshrined in the Constitution.

Thus, the part of the veto that sought to restrict the entry to the US of nationals of six Muslim majority countries (Iran, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Somalia and Chad) was suspended.

However, the part of the veto that refers to North Korea and Venezuela came into force, where Muslims hardly live.

With regard to Venezuela, the veto does not affect the majority of the population, only some officials and their “immediate family.”
