It is not much of a shock when Jimmy Carter, the ex-president of the U.S. informed his Sunday school class that he will be attending Donald Trump’s inauguration.
It is undoubtedly Surprising!
That he is the only ex-president to so far RSVP to Trump’s Presidential inauguration to be held on the Jan 20-2017.
According to a report, George W Bush is still seen on the fence and will decide whether to attend the event in the year of 2017 or not.
Whereas, the Clinton’s have also not made a decision yet. As both the camps went into the bash-on one another during the elections, it is easy to see why the potential bad blood is still lingering around
President Barack Obama is also expected to attend the event. The outgoing president is known for hosting his successor in almost every inaugural events for more than a century. Though there is no official confirmation yet. But, a refusal would definitely defy his promise to work with the President-elect during the period of Transition.
Carter was also seen supporting trump during a speech before the British House of Lords, saying that the New York Businessman might not be the worst republican if he wins the election.
Carter said,
“The reason is, Trump has proven already he’s completely malleable,”. “I don’t think he has any fixed (positions) he’d go the White House and fight for. On the other hand, Ted Cruz is not malleable. He has far right wing policies he’d pursue if he became president.”
