10 Latin Countries that were NOT Afraid and Faced Donald Trump

In spite of the threats of Donald Trump to countries that voted against him in the UN, 10 Latin nations had the courage to say NO to recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

With 128 votes in favor, with 9 against, leaving 35 abstentions, the UN General Assembly approved a non-binding resolution that demands Washington to back down and refrain from moving its embassy to Jerusalem.

Among those Latin countries without fear are:

Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela.

The US will explore possible actions against the condemnation of the United Nations General Assembly to its recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said today.

Nauert said at a press conference in Washington that the president, Donald Trump, “granted power” to the State Department to study possible responses to the outcome of the UN vote.

The spokesperson also commented that it will not be the only aspect that will be taken “into consideration”, regarding the relations of the United States with the countries that voted against this resolution.

Previously, Haley had already indicated that the names would be “targeted” by states that openly opposed the United Nations General Assembly.

Haley insisted that the US “remember” the next time a country asks for financial or political support, or when it is again claimed to be the main contributor to the United Nations budget.

Trump had threatened on Wednesday, at a meeting of his White House cabinet, to cut funding to countries that rejected his recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
