Life imprisonment for San Diego Hispanic who murdered his millionaire boyfriend

SAN DIEGO (Conspiracy Talk News) – San Diego man, David Enrique Meza was convicted of the brutal murder of his wealthy Texas boyfriend to keep his inheritance has been sentenced to life in prison Monday, South District Attorney’s office said.

Mr. David Enrique Meza, 27, was found guilty by a jury of having stabbed back in 2015 his partner and lover, Jake Clyde Merendino, 52, a Texan who he met online and with whom he had a long-lasting relationship.

According to the prosecution, Meza stabbed his boyfriend more than 20 times and cut his throat “to the point of almost beheading him”, then throw his body on the roadway between Rosarito and Ensenada (Mexico) with the intention of inheriting all his property.

Since the homicide was recorded in Mexico, the case was brought into the federal court within San Diego, California

“Nothing can save the family of the victim the agony of this indescribable crime, but on Monday justice was done to a murderer who will suffer his own agony, a lifetime in prison,” explained San Diego prosecutor Adam Braverman.

Meza lived a double life

While he was in a relationship with Merendino, he was carrying on another with an American woman who was pregnant at the time of the murder.

Meza and his then girlfriend, Taylor Marie Langston, were formally charged with the death of Merendino back in December of 2015.

Since Merendino was murdered in Baja California, the trial was held in fa Federal court.

Meza was convicted of a foreign domestic violence charge that resulted in murder and a charge of conspiracy to obstructing justice to a federal jury.

International media identify Meza as a porn actor who used various other names.

Meza and Merendino, a retired native of Texas, met online and had a two-year love affair.

In April 2015, the couple traveled to Mexico to buy a $ 280,000 ocean-view condo in Rosarito, Mexico.

According to the prosecution, Meza would be the beneficiary of said property. Even, a few days after the murder, he wrote a fake will by hand, that made him look like the heir of the condominium, which he tried to validate.

Days later, Mexican authorities located Merendino’s body on a cliff close to a major highway within Baja California.

There are videos showing Meza crossing the border into San Diego on a motorcycle that his victim had given him.

In passing sentence, district judge Jeffrey T. Miller called the killing “an inhuman and depraved act” motivated by pure greed.

“One can not even imagine the torture and torment that Mr. Merendino experienced,” he stressed.

In December 2015, both Meza and his fiancée were arrested by the FBI at their home in San Diego, California.

His girlfriend Taylor Marie Langston pleaded guilty to a charge of obstruction of justice.

Both the FBI and the federal prosecutor thanked the Mexican authorities for their support in solving this horrid crime.
