The “El Gordo” Christmas Lottery Captivates Spain

MADRID (Conspiracy Talk News) – In Spain It’s that time of year in which millions of people dream of getting a piece of the Christmas lottery.

The children of a school in Madrid began shortly after 09:00 to sing the winning numbers of El Gordo, in a draw that distributes 2,400 million Euros (2,800 million dollars) in prizes.

Although there are other draws with larger individual prizes, the Christmas Lottery that is held every December 22 in Spain is considered the largest in the world by the total prize pool.

“El Gordo“, the biggest prize ,and that gives its popular name to the draw, is 400,000 euros, here are also many other smaller prizes. To some, it’s Christmas come early, to others, better luck next year.
