“Game of Thrones” was the most pirated series for the sixth consecutive year

ENTERTAINMENT (Conspiracy Talk News) – The Game of Thrones series was the most pirated around the world in 2017 , bringing HBO’s epic fantasy blockbuster this high ranking for the sixth consecutive year, according to the data offered by the specialised portal TorrentFreak.

The seventh and penultimate season of “Game of Thrones” broke audience records but was also marked by its crash launch, since several episodes were leaked in advance, either by the action of a “hacker” or by errors of the chains that they broadcast the series in Spain or India.

TorrentFreak highlighted that the peak of users who shared an episode on the Internet in 2017 was with “Game of Thrones” showing 400,000 people that had active torrents (link files to download content) that referred to the final chapter of their seventh season.

Behind the series based on the novels of George RR Martin were “The Walking Dead” and “The Flash”.
