HTC says Goodbye to the Edges on the “Smartphones” and Hello to HTC U11

The Taiwanese company presents the new HTC U11 Plus that is updated in the current mobile trend with a 6-inch screen and promises great autonomy.

This season, there is a clear trend in mobility, without a doubt, the new concept that proposes to eliminate frames as much as possible, so that more space is offered for the screen in very compact dimensions.

A design that gives a sense of modernity and cutting edge, but not all manufacturers have wanted (or have been able) to make the leap.

Samsung, LG or Xiaomi have been some of the drivers of this outburst in industrial design. Apple has followed with the iPhone X, and now, after seeing It’s business in danger, HTC the Taiwanese manufacturer has announced its new smart mobile phone, the HTC U11 Plus.

“The objective is to return to being a bigger player in the game by going forward and not retreat, as in the past.” said a spokes person for the company.

In a show of ingenuity, the device has grown in size compared to its predecessor boasting a 6-inch LCD technology screen and an aspect ratio of 18: 9 (or what is the same, 2: 1), capable of generating a Quad HD + resolution (2,880 x 1,440 pixels).

With this decision, as in the Samsung Galaxy S8, there is the visual perception of being a smaller mobile than it really is.

At the technical level, under all these layers is a series of very high specifications required to a high-end terminal like this.

We speak, thus, of a Snapdragon 835 processor manufactured by Qualcomm that achieves vertigo speeds, 2.45 GHz. This “brain” is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM.

However, it does have a version that adds 6 GB of RAM and offers 128 GB of storage (there are only two models, the other is 64 GB). Fortunately for users who still want more additional space, the terminal allows the employee of a microSD card. But, it is well known to all that not all are configured to the optimization of those electronics, but on paper you can guess that it will offer good performance.

A territory that HTC has not wanted to dare invade is that of the photograph, composed of two lenses.

This other trend of the sector, led by Apple and Samsung, among others, has passed by.

Instead, it is committed to a single 12-megapixel sensor with Ultra Pixel technology -each pixel captures more light- and focal aperture of F1.7 with which we can see that the image quality will be optimal, although You can not play with other aspects, such as depth of field that can achieves amazing effects.

Still, as proposed by the recent Google Pixel XL, you can flirt with the applauded “bokeh” effect and the portrait mode with a single camera.

The terminal includes several “pro” tools that allow the user to use manual controls, capture long exposure images and, in addition, take them in RAW format, ideal for digital retouching.

The front camera offers 8 megapixels and aperture of F2.0. With the promise of a better battery having a capacity of 3,950 MAH, which achieves great autonomy on paper – even without first-hand verification.

It has a fast charging system, another key element in the development of the current mobile telephony.

Other aspects to take into account is that it does not have port for a “mini-jack” plug , however, it is submersible thanks to IP68 protection.

Unlike other recent mobiles that have exceeded the range of one thousand euros, the HTC U11 Plus remains at 799 euros.

Behind the Barred Windows: How Afghanistan’s War on Drugs Became a Battle for Souls : If you walk through Kabul today, it might look cleaner than it did a few years ago. The parks once filled with men sprawled under the sun, the bridges littered with used needles and broken glass — they’re mostly empty now. Kids are playing again in Shahr-e-Naw Park. But behind the locked doors and barred windows of the city’s rehab centers, another battle rages — one far more complicated than it looks from the outside.
