The Texas killer, a Former Soldier Convicted in the Army for Mistreating his Wife and Son

The author of the killing in a Texas evangelical church has been identified as D. P. Kelley, 26 years old. Kelley, who lived in New Braunfels, Texas, died shortly after the attack.

The attacker, who worked for US Aviation at a base in New Mexico, was tried in a court-martial back in 2012 for assaulting his wife and son, for which he was sentenced to 12 months in prison and a reduction in rank for “bad” behavior “in 2014, according to Ann Stefanek, the head of operations of Air Force media.

Mr. Kelley was part of the logistics team at the Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico from 2010 to 2014. He was responsible for transporting passengers, cargo and personal property in the military.

On Sunday afternoon, an armed man identified as D. P. Kelley, 26, stormed the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas, and opened fire indiscriminately killing 26 people.

One of the faithful managed to shoot the attacker when he tried to leave the religious temple. Then, the attacker threw his gun down and ran to get to his vehicle and try to  make his getaway.

Kelley has been found dead inside his vehicle, in which he crashed shortly after trying to flee the church. At the moment,  it is unknown if he was shot or if he committed suicide.

“Mental health is the problem”, according to President Donald Trump

An Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek pointed out that “Kelley was a member of a logistics team at Holloman Air Base in New Mexico.”

She said that “back in In 2012, he was sentenced to one year in prison by a military court for assaulting his wife and son, after which he was demoted.”

US officials told Conspiracy Talk News that “Kelley lived in a suburb of San Antonio and did not appear to be linked to any known organized terrorist groups”.

The same source has assured us that the investigators are also following up on any publications in social networks that Kelley could have frequented in the days previous to the attack of Sunday, in one of which he seemed to show a semiautomatic weapon resembling a AR-15.

US President Donald Trump has said that “mental health is the problem” in relation to the shooting that took place yesterday at a Baptist church within Texas, where at least 26 people died, an event that he described as “spooky” .

“It’s a little early, but it’s clear that we have a high-level mental health problem. We have many mental health problems in our country (…). It is something that is and will be addressed in a serious way, “Trump said at a press conference in Tokyo when asked about the measures that should be adopted to prevent this type of events.
