Off Duty Police Officer Shot Himself at NYPD Parking Lot

An off-duty policeman shot himself in a NYPD parking lot in the Bronx Friday, authorities stated.

First res-ponders hurried to the NYPD Crime and Narcotics Department location at Abbott St. on Wakefield at 10:50 a.m., where the injured policeman had been discovered in the parking area.

Medics hurried the policeman to a nearby healthcare facility.

The degree of the damages were not revealed at this time to reporters.

It was never divulged if the police officer works with the NYPD or perhaps a different district’s police division.

Police officers were initial notified of the occurrence via Mount Vernon police, that have received a 911 phone call, warning them that the police officer was actually preparing to hurt himself, law enforcement spokesperson explained.  More on this subject as new information is released.
