After the military coup the United States and its allies intend to launch an offensive this week in international organizations to corner Syria and its great godfather, Russia.
Washington, London and Paris want to strengthen the talks in the beleaguered Geneva talks, expand sanctions and open a long-term investigation into the use and storage of chemical weapons by the regime of Bashar El Asad.
The Security Council of the UN, Brussels and the Arab League are the enclaves from which it is intended to activate this new front.

The attack launched at dawn on Saturday on Syrian US officials say, is in retaliation for the use of chemical weapons.
In recent months, Russia has been thoroughly committed to protecting its Syrian godson.
Moscow offers as an alternative, that the investigations are conducted by an independent organization, to date the UN has refused to accommodate this request.
“The evil and the despicable attack left mothers and fathers, infants and children, thrashing in pain and gasping for air. These are not the actions of a man; they are crimes of a monster instead,” Trump said.
