Diane Keaton Defending Woody Allen In Sexual Abuse Accusations

HOLLYWOOD – Actress Diane Keaton publicly showed her support for director Woody Allen, saying she continues to “believe in him.

The accusation come shortly after Mr. Allen adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, accusations against him were for alleged abuses that occurred when she was seven years old.

The 82-year-old director denies all the accusations.

Keaton, who was one of the great muses of the director and star of works like “Annie Hall” (1977) or “Manhattan” (1979), is one of the few celebrities that has come out in defense of Allen.

“Woody Allen is my friend and I still believe in him,” tweeted Keaton, who maintained a relationship with Allen in the 1970s.

Along with her message, the actress included the link to a 1992 interview in which Allen defended himself against the first accusations made then by his ex-partner Mia Farrow.

The accusations against Allen resurfaced amid the scandal of cases of sexual harassment that hit Hollywood, and after the first interview that Dylan Farrow gave this month to a television shiow about this issue.

In her appearance on NBC, Farrow said he felt “indignation” after “years of being ignored, disbelieved and left aside.”

“He told me to lie on my stomach and play with a train from my brother who was there, and while I was playing with the train I was sexually abused by him,” was the alleged episode that occurred 25 years ago.

In response, Allen again denied the allegations and reiterated that he never did anything bad with his daughter.

Keaton’s statement comes after several actors distanced themselves from Allen in recent weeks.

Among them is the Oscar – nominated actor Timothee Chalamet and his co-star Rebecca Hall “A rainy day in New York” that support organisations dedicated to fighting Sexual harassment “Time is up”.
