Trump Asked Acting Director Of FBI: Who Did You Vote For?

WASHINGTON (Conspiracy Talk News) – US President Donald Trump asked the former interim FBI director between May and August 2017, Andrew McCabe, for whom he had voted for in the 2016 White House elections that pitted Hillary Clinton against him on Tuesday, reported the Washington Post.

The conversation took place in the oval office of the White House shortly after Trump dismissed James Comey as director of the FBI in May, officials and former officials told the newspaper, on condition of anonymity.

McCabe responded to Trump who did not vote in 2016.

In that meeting, Trump also reproached the acting director of the FBI that his wife, Jill McCabe, received money from Clinton for his failed 2015 campaign to the Senate of Virginia, which he attended as a Democrat.

According to The Washington Post, the conversation between Trump and McCabe is the subject of study by special prosecutor Robert Mueller, in charge of the investigation into the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections and the possible contacts of the campaign of the now president with the Kremlin.

McCabe was Comey’s “number two” in the FBI, a position he returned to in August when Christopher Wray assumed the agency’s position at the proposal of Trump.

Several local media reported Tuesday that US Attorney General Jeff Sessions has pressured Wray to remove several of his senior officials, including McCabe, to “clean up” Comey’s environment.

Wray has threatened to resign in the event that McCabe is terminated or reassigned to another position.
